Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned journalist and editor with exceptional leadership and editorial skills to fill the position of Sunday Mail Editor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the editorial direction of our Sunday publication, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of journalism and engages our readers.

Key Responsibilities
1. Provide editorial leadership and direction to the Sunday Mail team.
2. Develop and implement editorial strategies to increase readership and engagement.
3. Oversee the planning, production, and publication of the Sunday Mail.
4. Ensure that all content meets the highest standards of journalism, including accuracy, fairness, and balance.
5. Collaborate with reporters, photographers, and designers to produce high- quality content.
6. Make editorial decisions on story selection, placement, and tone.
7. Represent the Sunday Mail at editorial meetings and contribute to the development of the media house’s editorial strategy.

Requirements
1. Full grade 12 certificate.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, or a related field.
3. At least 8 years of experience as a journalist, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality news content.
4. Strong editorial and leadership skills, with experience in managing a team of journalists.
5. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
6. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and identify key issues.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with reporters, photographers and designers.
