JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the workshop’s inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Source and order spare parts, consumables, and tools required for repairs and maintenance.
• Receive deliveries, inspect items for quality, and verify quantities against advice notes.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including issuing materials to mechanics.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper storage of hazardous materials.
• Work closely with mechanics, technicians, and other workshop staff to meet repair needs promptly.
• Verify that all parts meet quality standards before being used in repairs.
• Precise record-keeping and inventory control.
Key Qualifications & Skills
• Diploma in mechanics/certification and any business-related course will be an added advantage
• Technical Knowledge:
• Familiarity with Mercedes Benz-Atego, Scania, Faw and Volvo truck models.
• Understanding of spare parts and consumables used in truck maintenance. •
Ability to manage inventory efficiently.
• Previous experience in a similar role within an automotive or trucking workshop.
• Effective communication with workshop staff and suppliers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workshop operations.
• Ability to find solutions when faced with stock shortages or urgent repair needs.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
